FS500i‑A CNC, ROBODRILL D28, CRX collaborative robots, and ROBOSHOT RS‑100iB press: FANUC showcases 360-degree automation in Bologna, showcasing innovation, efficiency, and technical training.
At MECSPE 2026 , scheduled to take place at BolognaFiere from 4 to 6 March 2026, FANUC confirms its role as a leading player in the industrial automation panorama, bringing to the fair a complete range of solutions for machine tools, robotics and injection moulding, with a focus on integration, digitalisation and sustainability of production processes.
In an industrial context characterized by a growing need for production flexibility, a shortage of qualified personnel, and the need to improve overall plant efficiency, FANUC offers MECSPE an approach to automation designed to make advanced technologies easier to integrate and more accessible even to medium-sized manufacturing facilities.
Integrated automation for new production needs
At the FANUC stand in Hall 14 – Stand D14, within the Machine Tools area, the company will present its latest innovations in numerical control, mechanical processing, and production cell automation, offering a concrete vision of integrated, highly automated production environments.
FANUC's presence at MECSPE 2026 reflects its strategy of increasingly integrating automation between CNC, robotics, and process, with the aim of supporting machine builders and end users in creating complete, scalable, and highly reliable production cells.
"MECSPE represents a strategic opportunity for FANUC to demonstrate how CNC, robots, and machines can work as a single technological ecosystem," comments Cristian Bosi, Managing Director of FANUC Italy. "Our goal is to help companies make automation simpler, more flexible, and more results-oriented."
Technologies on display at the FANUC stand
Among the main technologies on display:
- New FANUC FS500i-A CNC , a new generation platform designed to guarantee high performance, maximum operational reliability and an advanced level of integration between numerical control, machine and digital systems, to support intelligent manufacturing.
- New ROBODRILL D28 ADV Plus , a compact, high-performance machining center for milling and turning, designed to meet the needs of productivity, precision and flexibility in the most complex machining operations.
- FANUC CRX collaborative robot , integrated into a palletizing cell, to demonstrate collaborative applications that allow for increased automation even in production contexts characterized by variable batches, small spaces and rapid reconfigurability.
- TRCobot collaborative robotic welding cell created by Tecnorobot with CRX, to automate MIG/MAG and TIG welding processes, with particular attention to safety, flexibility and ease of integration into production departments.
- FANUC solutions oriented towards energy efficiency and sustainability , developed to contribute to reducing consumption, optimizing resources and improving the environmental performance of plants.
Training and innovation at the MECSPE Lab
Alongside the main exhibition area, FANUC is also strengthening its presence in the MECSPE Lab , a space dedicated to applied innovation, technical training and dialogue between industry, schools and competence centres.
At Pavilion 36 – Stand C18 (EUROSTAMPI Area) , as part of a special initiative dedicated to technical training and the Academy world, created in collaboration with the Salesian Institute of Bologna, FANUC will be present with the ROBOSHOT RS-100iB injection molding machine.
The press will be featured in a demonstration area designed to promote advanced technical training, innovation in plastics transformation processes, and the exchange of skills between schools and industry, offering a concrete example of how FANUC technologies can support the growth of skills and the development of new generations of specialized technicians.
This space also offers a unique vantage point on the future of technical skills in manufacturing, highlighting the role of collaboration between industry, education, and FANUC technology in preparing the professional profiles required by today's and tomorrow's factories.
